OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Two people were injured Monday afternoon when a scaffolding collapsed at a construction site near 135th Street and Switzer Road.

Emergency crews responded to the scene at about 3:00 p.m. The construction crew was working on a new apartment complex when the scaffolding collapsed, causing the workers to fall about 15 to 20 feet.

The fire department says one person was moderately injured; the other was seriously injured.
