KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City, Missouri, man has been charged with allegedly molesting a 5-year-old girl, prosecutors said on Thursday.
Toby R. Hernandez, 20, faces two counts of statutory sodomy and one count of child molestation in connection to the alleged attack on the young girl in her East 9th Street home.
According to court records, police were contacted this week by the victim’s mother informing them of incidents of sexual contact by the defendant with the victim. Prosecutors say that the victim’s grandmother also witnessed what she believed was inappropriate contact between Hernandez and the victim on June 24, 2012.
Hernandez is in custody at the Jackson County Jail in lieu of $250,000 cash-only bond.
