I love to garden!
There was a time this was not so. When I was a kid, my parents had a very large garden. My two brothers and I couldn’t do anything on the weekends or in the summer until we had helped weed in the garden. Ugh. I don’t know any seven year old that enjoys weeding. I was pretty vocal in my displeasure, and, often, I was in trouble for being vocal.
But, once I became an adult and moved out of my parents home, that first spring I realized there were no fresh flowers for me to smell. And, I missed flowers. So, I began to garden. I started out with tomatoes and marigold from seed.
I thought my parents and my two brothers would fall out of their chairs, in shock. “She’s doing what?!?!” Hahahaha!
I love it now. I find it very peaceful and a good stress reliever. Although, I do wish it would rain. Our flowers need a drink. It has been quite dry, almost like July or August. My husband and I are seeing that, with the mild winter we had, all of our plants seem to be anywhere from six weeks to two months ahead of schedule.
