What’s the Salvation Army Season Pass?
You wear the Season Pass button on your coat as a visible demonstration of your support for The Salvation Army during the holiday season. If you’re like a lot of people, you may not carry cash around as much anymore, so when you pass by a bell ringer, you let them – and everyone else – know you’ve already kettled.
How much is a button and where can I get one?
The Season Pass buttons are available for a $20 donation at any Hy-Vee grocery store, at Roger’s Sporting Goods in Liberty and online at DealBug (see list of locations below).

City Lights
City Lights, the annual downtown holiday lighting ceremony, is also the official kickoff of The Salvation Army’s 2011 Christmas Campaign. The City Lights display encompasses Barney Allis Plaza and several nearby buildings including the Kansas City Marriott Downtown, which features spectacular computer-generated holiday images across its 22-story façade.
City Lights, sponsored by The Salvation Army, the Kansas City Marriott Downtown, the Downtown Council and Fox 4 TV, is the official kickoff of The Salvation Army’s annual Christmas Campaign, which raises money to fund Salvation Army programs year-round. These programs include food pantries in eight community centers across the metropolitan area, emergency rent and utility assistance, affordable day care for children of low-income families, a children’s shelter for abused and neglected children, alcohol and drug abuse treatment programs, senior programs and visitation, homeless shelters and transitional housing and prison correctional programs.
