Attention baseball fans: here’s your chance to pick up a neat piece of MLB 2012 All-Star Game memorabilia while helping out the kids with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Missouri and Kansas.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is offering a special, limited edition 2-ball baseball set, the proceeds of which go to help out the foundation’s efforts to make the wishes of sick and dying children come true.
The baseballs are official, made by Rawlings, and the first ball in the set is an All-Star Game ball, which will have printed on it the starting lineups for both the American and National League teams, plus the final score and name of the MVP. The second baseball is a Royals history ball, which features a color photograph of Kauffman Stadium on one panel and the 1985 World Series logo for the Royals title that year, along with a few other important dates in Royals history.
Both baseballs fit nicely in an acrylic display case for $99.
Fans who order will also receive two free tickets to an upcoming Royals game in September. Fans can choose from the series against the Texas Rangers, Los Angeles Angels or Detroit Tigers.
Fans can order two ways to help out the local MAW kids: by calling 1-800-345-2868 or visiting www.nikcosports.com.
