BUCYRUS, Kan. — As a part of All Access KC, FOX 4 is taking you back to your childhood. Back when you and your friends either built or played in a tree house.

One man is making a living building elaborate treehouses for families in Kansas City, and Matt Stewart took a tour with him to find out how he does it.

Cord Moody lives in St. Louis but comes to Kansas City to build treehouses. Cord is actually the only treehouse building in the midwest.

“I think it’s rather tricky,” Cord said when asked why more people don’t build treehouses. “If you’ve ever built a treehouse yourself, you know there’s a lot things going on at the same time. I get to put my engineering background and my love of construction all together, and I very blessed to be able to have a talent that can keep me outside.”

Cord also says every treehouse he creates is unique.
