KANSAS CITY, Mo. — There are many pet shelters throughout the metro.  However, this weekend three of the major pet adoption shelters are teaming up for a mega adoption event.

For the second year in a row, Wayside Waifs, Kansas City Pet Project and the Great Plains SPCA have teamed up in order to want get more than 700 pets adopted during their Mega Match-a-thon event.  The event runs from Friday, Oct. 18 through Sunday, Oct. 20 and the cost to adopt any animal is only $25.

Rachel Hodgson of the Great Plains SPCA was a featured guest on Friday’s FOX 4 Morning Show.  She talked about all of the animals up for adoption this weekend.
