KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City is known as the city of fountains, but many of those iconic features are in need of a little TLC.

On Monday, a group of artists and kids from ArtsTech formed a ‘splash mob’ at the JC Nichols Fountain to help raise awareness and funds for the needed repairs.

FOX 4’s Kathy Quinn was there and tried her hand and painting.

CORRECT DATES: The next ArtsTech splash mobs will be held Saturday, July 27 is at the Westside Fountain and Saturday, August 10 at the Concourse Fountain in old Northeast.
