You’ve heard of ‘Super Babies,’ — infants genetically modified with superior genes. Author Jamie Metzl tackles this concept in the new book, “Genesis Code.” Metzl’s novel is set in the future. China has a secret genetic enhancement program that breeds ‘super babies’. The U.S. government tries to catch up with them, so they buy some fertility clinics across the U.S. and impregnate young women with genetically enhanced embryos without the mother’s knowledge. Metzl spoke more about his book on Monday.
