KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former President Clinton and Hillary Clinton, will help launch the Starr Women’s Hall of Fame at the University of Missouri-Kansas City on Monday, Feb. 24.
Named after Kansas City philanthropist Martha Jane Starr, the Hall of Fame will honor women across the metro for their accomplishments.
Chelsea is the vice chair of the Clinton Foundation, which aims to change lives.
Twenty-four civic organizations have signed on in support of the Hall of Fame, including the American Business Women’s Association and UMKC Women’s Council.
The kick-off luncheon sold out shortly after it was announced. It’s scheduled for Monday, Feb. 24 at Swinney Recreation on the UMKC campus.
The first class of women to be inducted into the hall of fame is slated for Fall 2014. The criteria and application process will be announced during Monday’s evenings.
