Bedtime can be a battle every night. The kids aren’t tired, they’re hungry, they have too much energy. In her new book, Rocky Ford Stories — Sleepytime at Rocky Ford, local author Dianna Schneider, aims to help parents eliminate the bedtime blues and give mom and dad some much needed downtime.

Her Tips:
1. Establish a consistent bedtime habit.
2. Bedtime is the end of playtime.
3. Bedtime is “go to bed time” not necessarily “go to sleep”
4. RELAXED, CALM, and GENTLE adults — but decisive, definite and insistent.
5. Include the saying, “I go to bed to get my rest, to make tomorrow the very best”
