KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Daling McMoran, Poison Control Educator at The University of Kansas Hospital said adults need to keep e-cigarettes away from kids.
McMoran said e-cigarette poisonings are on the rise.
The University of Kansas Hospital Poison Control Center says in 2013 through the present, they’ve had the following e-cigarette related calls:
- 13 kids
- 2 teens
- 5 (20 year olds)
- 5 (30 year olds)
- 1 (40 year old)
- 1 (50 year old)
- 1 (70 year old)
- 2 unknown age (adult)
- The death involved a man who injected the refill liquid.
