KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Beer and baseball: a classic combo.
Saturday people were able to enjoy a little of both with the Snowball Classic.
Fifth-generation brewer John Leinenkugel, with Leinenkugel Brewing Company, stopped by the FOX 4 studio with more on the special event.
Leinenkugel`s Snowball Classic begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Community America Ballpark. Doors opened at noon.
Teams competed in a seven-inning snow softball game for the right to be crowned champions.
Leinenkugel and Dennis Leonard joined in on the fun Saturday as guest managers for both teams. The two hosts made themselves available to sign autographs, guest poured beer and posed for photos.
A post-event celebration was set to occur at the stadium for participants and fans that make the trek out immediately following the game.
