KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It’s important to incorporate learning into summer vacation plans, said Tricia Reynolds of the Sylvan Learning Center.
She suggests keeping reading, math and writing a priority for kids by putting a fun spin on the subjects.
Measuring fractions in recipes, giving kids freedom to choose what to read and starting a summer journal will help kids once school rolls around again, she said.
One resource she mentioned is a website that makes book suggestions based on users’ interests.
