KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Hope House wants your clutter. They’re holding a garage sale on October 4 and 100 of the proceeds will go directly to Hope House.

You can drop off your clutter on Thursday, Sept. 18., from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Holmeswood Baptist Church located at 97th and Holmes in Kansas City, Mo.

Specific items they’re looking for are listed below.

Home: Housewares; dishes, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans, Pyrex, bake ware, serving dishes, small appliances in good working condition, linens and towels (no tears or stains, please)

Home décor: Artwork, decorative pictures, picture frames, holiday decorations, small furniture pieces, tables and chairs (don`t have to match)

Miscellaneous: Jewelry, jewelry boxes, scarves, hats, gloves, vinyl records, record players in working order, music CD`s, movie DVD`s, Beanie Babies, dolls and doll houses, doll clothing and accessories and more

Infants: baby clothes (no tears or stains, please), crib, furniture, rocking chair, bouncy seat, walker, swing, car seat, toys in good condition, books, bottles, bottle warmer, breast pump and anything else you can think of.

Children’s items: Clothing from non-smoking home, shoes, boots, coats, hats and gloves in good condition (no tears, stains or pet hair please), jeans, toys, books, furniture, games, puzzles, desks, etc.

Adults: Clothing from non-smoking home, shoes, boots, jeans, suits, coats, hats and gloves are all welcome in good, sellable condition (no pet hair, tears or stains).

 

HOPE HOUSE WILL NOT ACCEPT: Large appliances, couches, easy chairs, televisions, computers, socks or underwear (unless new)

 

Business donations: Office furniture and décor, office supplies, sluggish or outdated inventory that would be appropriate for a garage sale

Computer criteria: LAPTOPS ONLY for recycle credit to Hope House. Not using an old cell phone? Donate it to Hope House (with charger if you have it — 911 calls can be made from it without activation).

 

HOPE HOUSE CANNOT ACCEPT: Large manufacturing equipment, computers, fax machines or hazardous material)
