Do you call it pop, soda or Coke?
Do you say y’all or you all?
The way we say things differs in different parts of the country, and now a new series of maps showing our linguistic difference is getting a lot of attention. NC State graduate student Johua Katz used a statistical algorithm to map out the data from a previous research study at Cambridge. That study asked people (or do you say folks?) from across the country how they say certain things. Since it’s release, it is garnering (or do you say gaining?) attention nationwide.
