KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Thousands of people hit Bartle Hall this weekend for the Kansas City International Auto Show.
Car enthusiasts were treated to a four wheeled feast of the latest models from every auto maker.
If it’s all new, shined up and fresh off the assembly line, then it was at Bartle Hall Saturday and Sunday.
Beauties like the 2014 Corvette stole the show, but what’s new on the inside of the cars is also drawing attention. Cars that take orders via voice demands, which actually talk back to their drivers, were among some of the features of the cars at the show.
Comedian and former talk show host Jay Leno made an appearance at the show as well.
But for people who wanted to do more than just gawk, there was Ford’s racing simulator.
“This is a Ford Focus simulator. You can climb in and it simulates going down a race track. You get all the feel and moves. It’s a big hit at the show,” said Kathy St. Clair with the KC Auto Show.
The new ford eco-boost technology gives the four-cylinder car the power of eight.
The auto show ended on Sunday. Another hit at the show was the ‘ride and drive.’ Mazda, Ford, Toyota and Scion allowed spectators to see the cars inside Bartle Hall and then take them for a test drive outside the arena.
