HO CHI MINH CITY, Vietnam — A low-cost airline has been fined for hosting a bikini-clad beauty pageant during a flight.
Fox News reports that VietJet hosted the dance contest to celebrate a new route. Aviation officials say the pageant “violated local aviation regulations” since it was unapproved. Passengers were seen on YouTube video taking out cell phone cameras to record the show.
The airline was fined 20 million Vietnamese dong, or about $960 US.
