TUCSON, Ariz. – An Arizona mom is thankful for technology and her two-year-old after both made it possible for her to get the medical attention she needed.

According to KGUN in Arizona, Laura Toone was alone with her three small children when a foster dog she was caring for and her own dog began to fight with each other. Toone attempted to break up the fight between the two animals, but the foster dog bit her finger so hard it almost severed it completely.

The wound caused a lot of blood loss, and because of her disorientation and injury Toone was not able to dial 911. She asked her two four-year-old daughters to call, but they were too frightened by the amount of blood on the phone to dial.

Toone said that was when her two-year-old son came over to her with a kitchen towel and wiped the phone off. Although he didn’t know how to dial a number, he did know how to call his mom’s friend using FaceTime.

Toone’s friend answered and heard her screaming, so she contacted emergency personnel and got her friend the help she needed all thanks to the little boy.
