fountainsKANSAS CITY, Mo. — Several artists and area cyclists came together Sunday morning to turn their talents and riding skills into an effort to save Kansas City fountains.

The City of Fountains Foundation hosted a ‘Paint-Out,’ in which artists used oil paints and brushes to paint replicas of fountains on or near the Country Club Plaza. The art will go on display later this year at the Buttonwood Art Space and will be available for auction.

The efforts are part of a campaign to raise more than $2.5 million to repair nine Kansas City Fountains. For more information visit: www.kcfountains.org
