LEAWOOD, Kan.— Leawood mayor Peggy Dunn confirmed on Wednesday that AMC will be moving their corporate headquarters from downtown Kansas City to Leawood.

The Kansas City Business Journal reports that AMC will move their 450 employees to a new building in the Park Place development at 115th and Nall.

AMC has been headquartered in downtown K.C. since 1920 and there had been talks of their move across the state line for about a year.

Several organizations have relocated to Kansas from Missouri over the last few years including The Wizards, J.P. Morgan & more.
