GREENFIELD, Wis. — An elderly woman is in the hospital following a fight over a handicapped parking spot at a Wisconsin Walmart FOX 6 Now reported.
32-year-old Kezia Perkins allegedly chest bumped a 71-year-old woman and knocked her to the ground, according to FOX 6.
Witnesses told FOX 6 that the fight ignited when the elderly woman pulled into the spot Perkins was trying to maneuver her car to fit into. A witness said that Perkins was having difficulties making the turn.
“They both had handicapped tags. The older lady took the spot,” witness John Rawlings told FOX 6.
The alleged incident was caught on video by surveillance cameras. FOX 6 reported that the video shows Perkins walking up to the victim’s passenger window.
Surveillance video then showed the victim exiting her vehicle and approaching Perkins.
“This lady chest-butted,” Rawlings told FOX 6 regarding what happened next.
FOX 6 reported then police arrived to help Perkins allegedly told police “it’s not my fault the elderly woman bounced off my big (chest).”
At the time of the incident, Perkins’ license was suspended and the handicap placard was not valid, according to the report.
“From what she told me when I was tending to her, she just had hip surgery done,” Rawlings told FOX 6. “She couldn`t move. It may have come undone.”
Police told FOX 6 that the victim suffered from a fractured femur and needed a second hip replacement, which entailed five hours of surgery.
