KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A severely beaten that was left for dead and found in a dumpster is doing much better. Remember Ace? He was found a few weeks ago near the Afrikan-Centered College Preparatory Academy in Kansas City.

He had a skull fracture and had to be put on oxygen to keep his brain from swelling. But as you can see on the video, he’s doing much better.

“It’s so great, he has a personality, he’s playing with toys. We’re actually gonna get him groomed here pretty soon. We’re just so happy to see him thriving the way that he’s doing,” Tori Fugate, Manager of Marketing and Development with the Kansas City Pet Project, said.

Although he may have some neurological issues, the Kansas City Pet Project said he’s slowly straightening out and may soon be ready for adoption.
