KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Emmy and Tony award-winning actor John Lithgow has come to the Midwest to tell stories from his life.
Lithgow spoke at the Kansas City Library on Saturday and narrated a concert based on his book “Farkle and Friends” at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.
Lithgow will be in Lawrence, Kan. Monday night for a one-day performance of a one-man, two-act show.

His performance of “Stories of the Heart” is at 7:30 p.m. at the Lied Center. “Stories of the Heart” is a memoir of Lithgow’s childhood. He told lawrence.com that he used to read to his father when he was sick, and one particular story, seemed to enliven him. The performance evolved from that experience.
