HOUSTON — More is being learned about what happened during American Airlines flight 962 when a woman became ill and died.

According to ABC World News, Houston police said that eight hours into the flight, the 25-year-old woman went into medical distress. Members of the flight crew and a physician on board the plane came to her aide and performed medical procedures. The plane, en route from Brazil to Dallas, was diverted to Houston. Shortly after landing, the woman was pronounced dead.

Police said there were no apparent signs of trauma. The woman’s name has not been released and the cause of death is still under investigation.
