KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It’s a three day celebration of college basketball, and it involves games played on Monday and Tuesday, but the highlight has to be the annual induction ceremonies at the College Basketball Hall of Fame in downtown Kansas City.

The hall of fame ceremonies took place at the Midland Theatre Sunday night and were proceeded by a meet and greet and press conference at the College Basketball Experience.

Among the inductees in the class of 2014 is Shaquille O’Neal, the two-time national player of the year from LSU, the great Zelmo Beaty, who starred at Prairie View A&M, the former coach at LSU Dale Brown, who also coached Shaq in Baton Rouge. Also the great Darrell Griffith of Louisville, Doctor Dunkenstein, who led Louisville to its first national title in 1980, former coach Gary Williams of Maryland and also Grant Hill, who starred at Duke.
