KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A woman was taken to the hospital Wednesday morning after robbers broke into her home at N.E. 48th and N. Bennington Ave., strapped her down so she couldn’t move and pistol-whipped her.
The men kicked down her metal front door and broke in at about 2:30 a.m.
A neighbor called 911 at about 2:45 a.m. after noticing suspicious activity.
The neighbors said they noticed two people parked up the street and walking toward the victim’s house.
When police arrived, they found the woman tied up and badly beaten with cuts all over her head. None of her injuries were life threatening.
The woman was visibly upset and, at the time could not give a clear description of the men.
The neighbors said the woman’s two door silver cavalier had been stolen.
Police have not yet released information on what the men took from the home.
FOX 4’s Kathy Quinn reported police may be looking for a two door white coupe with a black hood that left the scene.
