SPRING HILL, Kan. — Employees of a local business were shocked after they found a major asset had been stolen over the weekend.
Workers at J&J Asphalt are asking for the public’s help after someone stole thousands of dollars worth of equipment, including an asphalt truck.
The truck was stolen from its spot in the company parking lot, along with a trailer, a set of tires and a laptop.
The company said the theft happened sometime between Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon.
“That’s a big one because they took the trailer with everything in it, you know, down to the shovels to the saws,” J&J Asphalt employee Dylon Nedham said. “If we wanted to go to work today, we couldn’t.”
The truck and trailer are both white and have J&J Asphalt stickers on them. The truck has a metal flatbed with toolboxes on both sides.
J&J Asphalt is offering a $1,000 reward for the recovery of the items. Anyone with information is asked to call the Spring Hill Police Department at (913) 592-2700.
