NEW ORLEANS — The new audio clip that has surfaced online, purportedly of former Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams instructing his team to target specific players on the opposing team and inflict serious injury, is getting millions of plays, but no comment from the Saints organization.

The authenticity of the audio has not been confirmed, but filmmaker Sean Pamphilon, told Yahoo Sports that he recorded it while working on a project for Steve Gleason, the former Saints special teams standout who is fighting ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

Pamphilon told the New Orleans Times-Picaynue that he would not have released the audio if they story had not already gone public.

“I would not have compromised my personal relationships and risked damaging Steve Gleason’s relationship with the Saints. I would have crafted these words and sentiments for another forum, perhaps years down the road.”

“Some will call me releasing this audio for fame or money grab. True haters will call it exploitation,” Pamphilon said.

Please be advised: Audio contains offensive and profuse profanity.

The edited clip that surfaced online allegedly captures Williams instructing the defensive line up to go for 49ers running back Frank Gore’s head.

“We’ve got to do everything in the world to make sure we kill Frank Gore’s head. We want him running sideways. We want his head sideways,” the voice says.

The voice alleged to be Williams also targeted wide receiver Michael Crabtree.

“He becomes human when we f***** take out that outside ACL.”

An NFL investigation found the Saints had an “active bounty program” during the past three seasons.

Bounty payments were handed out to players who hurt opponents, knocking them out of the game.

Williams is suspended from the league indefinitely. Saints head coach Sean Payton is suspended for the entire 2012 season and other coaches and managers were also punished.

The NFL fined the team $500,000 and has restricted it drafting, saying the “pay-for-performance” program undermines the integrity of the game.
