BELTON, Mo. — A rumored threat against Yoekum Middle School in Belton, Mo. has been deemed non-credible, according to a school administrator. Classes will continue as planned, Superintendent Andrew Underwood said.

Underwood also said as a precaution there will be an increased police presence at the school on Friday, which also happens to be the last day of school.

Late Thursday night the Belton School District reported on its website that administration had been made aware of a threat toward students and/or staff at the school. A comment made by the school district on its Facebook page indicated the threat was being investigated.
