KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The family of 18-month-old Lana Bailey was still holding out hope Saturday that she is still alive.

They said they still believe Lana is alive even though detectives say differently.

Saturday night they gathered at Pierson Park in Kansas City, Kan. for a candlelight service.  They wanted to keep the word out for the public to keep their eyes out for Lana.

The family says they wish more detectives would keep working the case.

“More has been done for other people.  They searched for others longer than they have searched for Lana.  They wasted too much time.  They should have searched the first day she was reported missing,” Kelly Bailey, Lana’s second cousin told FOX 4 News.

This was the last day for the major case squad to be in the search, but there will still be some detectives involved in the search for the 18-month-old.
