KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri Police said 57-year-old Leroy “Buddy” Bronson of Belton, Mo. was killed Saturday night while riding his 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Police said the driver of a 2004 Silver Ford F-150 pickup was traveling at a high rate of speed near the intersection of Bannister and Wornall, and the motorcycle and the truck collided in the intersection.

Police said the driver of the truck fled the scene and they are looking for the driver.

The victim, Bronson, had lost his wife and young daughter in a car crash on the Fourth of July in 2011.

In that crash, police say a drunk driver was going the wrong way on Interstate 435, when he crashed head-on into the car carrying Diane and Anna Bronson.  Both Bronson’s wife and daughter were killed.

Shortly after the crash, FOX 4 News spoke to Bronson, who said his wife and daughter were inseparable and that he loved and missed them both.
