KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Residents in the 400 block of Drury say that they’re used to seeing the occasional police car in their neighborhood, but what they saw on Sunday morning—drawn weapons, camouflage uniforms and a SWAT tank—looked more like something out of a movie.
Heavy drinking and gunfire was reportedly what led authorities to block off the street around 8:30 on Sunday morning. According to Kansas City Missouri Police, someone fired a gun inside a home, and when officers came by to check it out the people inside the home refused to answer.
Four people eventually came out without putting up a fight, and authorities found a gun inside the home.

“I heard people screaming and, like, two or three gun shots,” said 13-year-old Edioberto Martinez. His cousin, 13-year-old Nathaly Sigala witnessed the whole incident as well.
“They were talking on a speaker, saying to come out or at least to go to the door with your hands up,” said Sigala.
Police say that nobody was injured in the incident, and two men were taken into custody. Witnesses told authorities that the group inside the house was drunk. There is no word on whether any charges will be filed in the case.
Russell Roberts works to keep the neighborhood safe. He says that the incident on Sunday morning was scary.
“It’s really scary,” said Roberts. “One because of all the kids around the neighborhood.”
