A blog by FOX 4 Sports Director Al Wallace:

If he were still alive today, John Fitzgerald Kennedy would have turned 96 years old today.

Instead, his life ended on November 22, 1963.

I mention the fact because we are now less than six months away from the anniversary of that famous day when JFK’s life was ended in Dallas, Texas.

In what many still observe as the most turbulent decade of the 20th century for the United States, Kennedy represented hope and promise for so many people, not just in this country but around the world.

Dallas is now the home of the most recognized and analyzed crime scene in U.S. history. As an American, and a native Texan who has a deep appreciation of history, I have become very interested in the man, the history, and most things JFK. That includes his death and the events surrounding it.

This won’t be the last blog I write between now and November 22nd of this year, not by a long stretch. On May 29th, 1963, JFK had just turned 46 years old. Little did any of us know it would be the last birthday he would celebrate.
