DOSWELL, Va. — While the body of suspected Boston bombing suspect has at long last been buried in a Muslim cemetery, residents are none too happy about the decision.

According to WTVR, the body of Tamerlan Tsarnaev has been buried at the Muslim Al-Barzakh Cemetery in Doswell, located in Caroline County, Virginia.

Imam Ammar Arnonette told WTVR that the Islamic Center was not consulted and that their community is upset.

On Thursday, Worcester, Mass., police said Tsarnaev’s body had been entombed thanks to a “courageous and compassionate individual.”

A Boston Globe reporter tweeted that Tsarnaev’s burial was “coordinated by a Virginia woman who heard about the protests on NPR and decided to help.”
