PLATTE CITY, Mo. — The Olathe Police Department confirmed Friday morning a six-year-old boy who was reported missing with his father has been found safe in Platte City. Police said both the boy and his father were in good condition.

Police said the two were reported missing around 4:20 p.m. Thursday from a home in the 1800 block of E. Sheridan Bridge Lane. Police said the father, Aaron Willis, was upset with his girlfriend and had apparently made comments about harming himself. Willis grabbed his son, Kalvin, and took off in his red 1997, four-door Honda Civic, with a Kansas license plate.
