LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. — All weekend long Brides Against Breast Cancer is selling new and gently used gowns from $99.00 to $3,500. There are hundreds of gowns for sale and the proceeds from these gowns will fund programs and services for cancer patients and their families.

“These support services range from physo-social services, health, wellness, nutrition, group support, family support not only for the person who is going through their cancer battle but for the family and caregivers as well,” said Kelsey Anderson of Brides Against Breast Cancer.

The nationwide tour of gowns allows brides to shine as they walk down the aisle and the money the gowns raise help women battling cancer see the sunshine again.

Sarah McNeil of Grandview is getting married in April and she wanted to buy a gown from this non-profit because she said the organization helps women like her mother who has battled cancer.

“I was excited because I knew it supported a good cause and also I love to find a good bargain,” said Sarah McNeil.

The event continues Sunday at the Pavilion at John Knox Village from noon to 4 p.m., admission is $5.00.
