Fast food chain Burger King isn’t having things its way. The company’s Twitter account was hacked, leaving Whopper lovers to believe McDonald’s bought Burger King.
“We just got sold to McDonalds! Look for McDonalds in a hood near you,” the company tweeted at noon ET Monday.
Burger King’s Twitter profile was changed to a McDonald’s logo too. It’s not clear who hacked the account, which has since been suspended.
The suspect appears to be a fan of hacktivist group Anonymous, using Burger King’s account to ask the group to follow it. Later, @YourAnonNews tweeted, “We’re guessing the @BurgerKing social media team is having a bad day…”
