PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. — Platte County Sheriff’s deputies seized 13.30 pounds of suspected cocaine during a traffic stop on March 16.
Deputies stopped a van south of I-29 at I-435 east for traffic violations. During a search of the vehicle, officers found what they believed to be cocaine in duffel bags in the back of the truck. The estimated value of the suspected cocaine was approximately $595,000.
Marcos V. Gonzalez, 36, and Lorena Bustos, 38, both from California, were arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to distribute.
