KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Authorities say that a vehicle struck a house, causing a fire on the city’s South Side early Monday morning.
The vehicle struck the house near 101st and Wornall around 6:30 a.m. on Monday morning. The vehicle burst into flames following the impact, which also caused the house to catch on fire as well.
The incident led authorities to close Wornall Road in both directions for a time.
Multiple ambulances were called to the scene. Two people inside the home were taken to area hospitals as a precaution for minor injuries.
