KANSAS CITY, Mo. — In a dark room with paneled walls, Casey Anthony addresses YouTube in a video posted on Thursday, but apparently recorded back in October. There have been few sightings of Anthony, 25, since July 2011 when a jury cleared her of killing her daughter, Caylee Marie. Although she was once considered one of the most hated people in America, Anthony said things are starting to look up.

In the four-and-a-half minute video, Anthony shares her excitement over having her own computer, camera and phone.

“It’s kind of nice, finally, being able to say that I have some belongings that are mine, that I’ll be able to take with me after I leave here next year,” she said.

It’s unclear where “here” is, but in the video Anthony said she would remain where she is for an unknown period of time and that her location is a “blessing.”

Wearing glasses and sporting a blonde bob, Anthony said it’s “surreal” how things have changed and haven’t changed since July when she was cleared of murder.

Before ending the video, Anthony said that although she hates being on camera, it would be the first of many videos she shares. However, no other videos have surfaced.
