KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Pet Project needs help following a case of cat hoarding. The cats, who were taken from an east side home last week, are now up for adoption.
On Wednesday, KC Pet project said Kansas City, Missouri Animal Control brought in eight additional eight cats from that same home, which brings the total to 71 cats in from the house. KC Pet Project says the cats are now all available for adoption and have the last name “Westridge” on their website.
It costs the shelter, on average, $115 to care for each cat that is brought to KC Pet Project. This hoarding case is costing the shelter around $9,200.
Now you can adopt one of these cats at the KC Pet Project animal shelter on Raytown Road. Some will also be available at the Zona Rosa and Petco adoption centers.
