KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Unified Government will celebrate its first new apartment project in nearly 30 years with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday.
The Heights at Delaware Ridge near 130th and State Avenue will eventually have 228 apartments when construction is complete by the end of the year. The new Cerner twin towers project has highlighted the need for projects like Delaware Ridge.
Cerner will employ 4,000 people when they are up and running. Wyandotte County is experiencing a surge in construction with Delaware Ridge and a second apartment complex at Village West, as well as many retail and entertainment projects.
