VICTORIA, Texas — The chief of police in Victoria, Texas, visited a 76-year-old man at his home Thursday to personally apologize after an officer twice used a taser on the man during a traffic stop.
According to the Victoria Advocate , Pete Vasquez was returning the car to the dealership when he was pulled over for an expired inspection sticker on the back of the car.
What happened during the traffic stop was recorded on dash cam.

The video shows the officer arresting Vasquez, attempting to put handcuffs on him, and then tasering him twice.
A witness told KPRC that when Vasquez tried to explain to the officer that the dealer owned the car and did not require a current inspection sticker. He is seen on the video trying to go inside to get someone from the dealership explain. For an unknown reason, the officer got impatient, grabbed the grandfather of 20 children to cuff him, and when Vasquez pulled his arm back, the officer took him to the ground and stunned him with the stun gun.
The officer, Nathanial Robinson, 23, has been placed on administrative duty during an internal investigation.
Vassquez was not charged with anything and said Chief J.J. Craig, showed up at his house that same night to apologize.
“He just acted like a pit bull, and that was it,” Vasquez said to the Victoria Advocate. “For a while, I thought he was going to pull his gun and shoot me.”
