NEW YORK — The Kansas City Chiefs selected offensive tackle Eric Fisher from Central Michigan with the first pick in the NFL draft.
“What you’re getting is a really athletic player, a great kid,” Chiefs Coach Andy Reid said to season ticketholders on Thursday evening. “He can play really any position along the line and loves to play the game.”
“From a coaching standpoint, and from John Dorsey’s standpoint as a General Manager, we felt he’d be a real nice fit for this football team and also for the city of Kansas City.”
Reid went on to say, “we are very happy with Eric.”
