ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs are getting a bit tired of beating up on each other, so on Tuesday they got some fresh targets for their aggression – the Arizona Cardinals.
The Cardinals and Chiefs are holding a practice on Tuesday at Chiefs training camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph ahead of Friday night’s preseason matchup at Arrowhead Stadium.
The Chiefs haven’t practiced with another team during training camp since leaving River Falls, Wisconsin, for St. Joseph four years ago.
“We get tired of going against the same guys every day,” said defensive end Glenn Dorsey in a statement on the Chiefs website. “I’ve been going against Branden Albert every practice for five years and I want to go against somebody else.”
“You get a great chance to evaluate where you are as a team,” said Cardinals head coach Ken Wisenhunt.
Tuesday afternoon’s practice is set to start at 3:15 p.m. at Missouri Western State University, and is open to the public.
