KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A building in downtown Kansas City, Mo., was evacuated for a chlorine leak, officials said early Wednesday evening.

The building at 712 Broadway was evacuated and the fire department and a Hazardous Materials team was on scene for several hours.

Broadway was also closed near 7th Street while crews checked out the scene.

Everyone was allowed back inside and roads were reopened around 8 p.m.
