LAWRENCE, Kan. – An extravagant display of Christmas lights in Lawrence isn’t only meant to be seen, you can hear it as well! The computer controlled LED display prompts viewers to turn their radio dials to 96.7 FM for the full experience that Stonecreek Drive Christmas has to offer.

In addition to spreading holiday cheer, it also benefits a good cause, Just Food.

“Last year we decided that we were drawing enough of a crowd that we could start doing charity,” homeowner Stephanie Fisher said. “Last year we raised $1,200, this year we are around $400, so we are well below our goal.”

Fisher said it was important to incorporate charity to teach the true meaning of the season.

“Giving is better than receiving because if you give you get a good reaction out of it,” Stephanie’s daughter, Kaitlyn, said.
