OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Drivers beware. Beginning Monday, all ramps at the I-435 and Roe Avenue interchange will close. And they won’t re-open for 35 days.

Drivers will need to find a detour until October 20. The Kansas Department of Transportation says the ramps need to close for construction work to tie-in the ramp pavement to the new Roe Avenue bridge structures. This will complete the new diverging diamond interchange configuration. That means no ramp access from Roe Avenue to I-435, 435 to Roe.

Northbound Roe Avenue will be closed at 109th Street to through traffic and Southbound Roe Avenue at 107th Street.

The entire project is expected to be finished by late November.

K-DOT says there will be marked detours.
