KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Six of the city’s most talented chefs went head-to-head Sunday night in a friendly rivalry to raise money for the Child Protection Center. The event attracted more than 100 people to the 12th Street bridge in Kansas City.
The chefs smoked ribs and whipped up side dishes for a celebrity judging panel that included former Kansas City Chief’s quarterback Trent Green.
“What better place than Kansas City to come back and try and have an impact in a positive way through different charitable efforts,” Green said.
“And this is a tough job for me having to eat a bunch of great food, but this is just another way I can try and help out,” he joked.
